thecary is a British premium wellness brand, founded on 2.2.2022. We createscience-backed botanical formulationsrooted in a Soil to Soul philosophy — tracing every ingredient from its origin in the earth to its effect on your body. We sit at the intersection of nature, rigorous science, and understated craft. We are not a supplement company selling product. We are a wellness company that happens to make supplements.

It is the thread that runs through everything we do. Every formulation begins in the soil — with the quality of the plant, the conditions in which it was grown, the integrity of the harvest. Where are your products made?

Our formulations are developed and produced in the United Kingdom, in partnership with facilities that meet our standards for purity, traceability, and consistency. We are committed to full supply chain transparency as our range grows.

Where do your ingredients come from?

We source botanical and bioactive ingredients from verified origins — prioritising suppliers who practice sustainable agriculture and can demonstrate full traceability. Our goal is to know the story of every ingredient: the soil it came from, how it was cultivated, and why it was chosen for the formula. This is not a box-ticking exercise. It is the basis of everything we do.

Are your products third-party tested?

Yes. Every thecary formulation is independently tested forpurity, potency, and safetybefore release. We do not skip this step, ever. Certificates of analysis are available on request — write to us athello@thecary.co.uk.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. Most of our current formulations are entirely plant-based and no animal testing is conducted at any stage of development or production. We are working toward formal certification across the range. Where this changes for any future product, we will make it unmistakably clear.

Do your products contain allergens?

Our formulations are free from gluten, dairy, soy, and common allergens unless explicitly stated on the label. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page.

Why do you use Miron Violet Glass?

Miron Glass is a high-grade violet-spectrum glass thatblocks visible light while allowing beneficial UV-A and infrared wavelengthsto pass through. This creates a natural preservation environment that protects the bioactivity of sensitive ingredients — without synthetic stabilisers or preservatives. It also happens to be beautiful, but the function comes first.

What is NMN and what does it do?

Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) is a naturally occurring compound and adirect precursor to NAD+— a coenzyme central to cellular energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic regulation. NAD+ levels decline measurably with age; NMN supplementation supports the body's ability to restore them. Our NMN is pharmaceutical-grade and stabilised for optimal absorption.

What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a mineral-rich resin that forms over centuries in high-altitude mountain rock — principally in the Himalayas and Altai ranges. It containsfulvic acid and over 84 trace minerals, making it one of the most complex natural substances used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. We use a purified, high-potency extract tested for heavy metals and contaminants.

What is fulvic acid?

Fulvic acid is an organic compound produced by microbial activity in soil. It acts as anatural electrolyte and bioavailability enhancer— helping transport nutrients across cell membranes more effectively. It is a key active compound in Shilajit and one of the reasons soil-derived ingredients matter so much to us.

What is your approach to gut health?

We believe the gut is foundational — not a standalone concern. A well-functioning microbiome influences energy, immunity, mood, and the absorption of every other nutrient you take. Our gut-focused formulations are designed to work systemically, supporting the conditions in which beneficial bacteria thrive, rather than simply adding probiotics to a depleted environment.

Usage & results

How do I take thecary supplements?

Usage guidance is printed on every product and detailed on each product page. As a general principle, we recommend taking supplementsconsistently at the same time each day— typically with food unless otherwise indicated — for at least 60–90 days before forming a view on effect. Consistency is more important than timing.

How long before I see results?

This depends on the formulation, your individual baseline, and your broader lifestyle. Some compounds — adaptogens, mineral formulas — produce noticeable shifts within days to weeks. Others, such as longevity-focused compounds like NMN, work at acellular level over months. We are honest about this: thecary is not built for quick results. It is built for lasting ones.

Can I take thecary products if I'm pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication?

We recommend consulting your GP or healthcare practitioner before starting any new supplement during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or if you are taking prescribed medication. Some bioactive compounds can interact with certain medications or may not be appropriate during specific life stages.

We are happy to share our full ingredient lists with your practitioner to support that conversation.

Can I take multiple thecary products together?

Most of our formulations are designed to complement one another. We recommend starting with one product at a time so you can observe how your body responds before layering. If you would like guidance on combining specific products, contact us directly — we'll give you a considered answer.

Is it safe for children?

Our formulations are designed for adults. We do not recommend thecary products for children under 18 without explicit guidance from a paediatric healthcare practitioner.

How should I store my products?

Store all thecary products in acool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The Miron Glass protects against light degradation, but heat and moisture can still affect potency. Do not store in the bathroom. Once opened, use within the period indicated on the label — typically 3–6 months, depending on the formulation.

Why is sustainability important to thecary?

Soil to Soul is not just a product philosophy — it is an environmental one. If we source from the earth, we have an obligation to protect it. We choose Miron Glass over plastic not only for its performance properties, but because it is endlessly recyclable. Our ambition is for every packaging decision to reflect the same integrity we apply to our formulations.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes. Miron Glass is 100% recyclable. We are actively working to ensure all secondary packaging — boxes, inserts, protective materials — is plastic-free and either recyclable or compostable. We will communicate openly when we fall short and what we are doing about it.

Do you test on animals at any stage?

No. thecary does not conduct or commission animal testing at any stage of development, testing, or production.

What is your satisfaction guarantee?

If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason within30 days of receiving it, contact us and we will make it right — a full refund, no questions asked. We stand behind every formulation we release. You should feel confident before you commit.

Do you offer a subscription?

Do you ship internationally?

How long does delivery take?

Standard UK delivery takes2–5 working days. You will receive a dispatch confirmation with tracking details once your order has left us. If your order has not arrived within this window, contact us with your order number and we will look into it immediately.

How do I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking information. You can also contact us athello@thecary.co.ukwith your order number and we will check on it for you.

What is your returns policy?

Unopened products in original condition are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of receipt. If a product has been opened and you are unsatisfied, our 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies — contact us and we will find a resolution. Full details are on our Returns Policy page.
